Whether you have a solo show dying to be birthed or you want to hone your storytelling skills for professional reasons, this class will help you: harness your creativity, trust your instincts, quiet your inner critic, and find your unique voice. Through acting, improv, and writing exercises, we will get that story out of your head and into the world.

Class will be held at the School of Theatre located at 2071 Addison Street, Berkeley. Masks are encouraged but will be optional for all students attending School of Theatre programming.

  • This class is for adults only. Students under the age of 18 may not participate.
  • For subscriber pricing, please login to your account first, the subscriber price will then appear.
  • For the two class discount, add both classes to your cart, your discount will then be applied.
  • If you need to set up a Payment Plan, email school@berkeleyrep.org. Otherwise, you will be charged the full cost of the class.

Photo Waiver: In our meeting space, we may use recording for safety purposes and capture promotional material. I give Berkeley Repertory Theatre the absolute rights and permission to publish and/or copyright photographs and/or videos of myself or my child during this class. These photographs and/or videos may be used in perpetuity for marketing and publicity purposes, in any medium, without compensation to myself or my child. I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written copy that may be created with said photographs and/or videos.

General Waiver: Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes on time and ready to work. Repeated non-compliance without notification may result in dismissal from class without refund. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior is not tolerated and will result in immediate expulsion from the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre with no refund.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I agree to waive, discharge claims, and release from Berkeley Repertory Theatre, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and leaders from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from Injuries and Damages, even if caused by negligence of Berkeley Repertory Theatre, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and leaders, in any way connected with the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre.
Please acknowledge general waiver:

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 48 hours or more before the first class meeting begins, we will refund tuition less a $50 processing fee per class. If you cancel within 48 hours before the first class meeting begins, we will refund tuition less a $75 processing fee. If you cancel within 24 hours after the first class meeting, we will refund half the tuition amount. And 24 hours or more after the first class meeting, no refund will be given.

Refunds will not be given for the following classes: Actors’ Performance Lab; Beginning Voice-Over Acting; Improv Performance Lab; On-Camera Acting; Releasing Your Authentic Voice; Speak Spontaneously.
